Washington County Parks introduces fishing programs

Washington County Parks is introducing fishing programs in a number of parks in June and July.

Family Fishing will be June 1 at Big Marine Park Reserve as part of Explore Your Parks Day when no vehicle permit is required to enter county parks.

One program will be 10 a.m. to noon, and another program from 1-3 p.m. The programs are free, but registration is required.

June 12 will feature youth fishing at Square Lake Park from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is free, but a vehicle permit will be required, which are $7 daily or $30 annually. Registration is also required.

July 2 is youth fishing at Lake Elmo Park Reserve from 10 a.m. to noon. This is a first Tuesday of the month, which means no vehicle permit is required. The program is free, but registration is required.

July 25 is family fishing at Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park from 6-8 p.m. The program is free, but a vehicle permit is required, which are $7 daily or $30 annually. Registration is also required.
