Boys Golf: Woodbury, East Ridge finish in the top three on Monday
It was a battle for second place between Woodbury and East Ridge on Monday at Stillwater Country Club.
The two teams competed in another conference match and the Royals were able to hold a small lead over the Raptors for a second-place finish.
Woodbury ended the day with a score of 310, while East Ridge scored a team score of 312 for third place. Stillwater finished on top once again with a team score of 299.
The Royals were consistent from top to bottom with five of the six golfers scoring in the 70's. Ryan Muzzy and Christopher Mahady led the team with a score of 77 for each of them.
Willie Price and Parker Sands were right behind them with a score of 78 each, while Carter Spalding was right behind them with a score of 79. Luke Danielson rounded out the Royals with a score of 88.
East Ridge was also a consistent team with all of its golfers scoring between 73 and 83. Justin Luan led the Raptors with a score of 73.
Aaron Beissler finished the day with a score of 79, while Reece Hoyme and Tyler Wenshau each scored an 80. Caden Pratt finished Monday with an 81 and Alex Venne rounded out the day with an 83 for the Raptors.
Woodbury and East Ridge will head to different tournaments later this week before preparing for the conference championship next week. Woodbury will head to Rochester Eastwood Golf Course on Wednesday, May 15 at noon. East Ridge will head to Chaska and Chaska Town Course on Friday, May 17 at 1 p.m.
