Girls Basketball: East Ridge wins a close game against Park on Tuesday


East Ridge 48, Park 40

East Ridge took a 20-12 lead at the half on Tuesday night and the Raptors continued that lead to a 48-40 victory over Park.

Grace Bennett and Britt Carlson led the Raptors with 11 points each on Tuesday. Chloe Stoehr scored double digits with 10 points, while Madalyn Slavin finished the night with seven points.

Ashanti Boykin led the Wolfpack with 17 points, while Hannah Schuletter scored nine points on Tuesday night. Madeline Blumberg and Saren Croker each finished the night with five points.

East Ridge will continue the season when the Raptors hit the road on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. to play at Forest Lake.

Park will hit the road as well when the Wolfpack play at Hastings on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.

Mounds View 63, Woodbury 58

Mounds View took a seven-point lead at the half, but Woodbury came fighting back in the second half. The Royals weren't able to take the lead though as Mounds View earned the 63-58 win on Tuesday night.

Woodbury had four players score in double digits. Carley West led the Royals with 21 points on Tuesday.

Lizzy Dodge and Solape Amusan each scored 13 points, while Alexandrya Paulson finished the night with 10 points.

Woodbury will continue playing at home on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. as the Royals host Cretin-Derham Hall.
