Boys Basketball: East Ridge defeats Park in crosstown rivalry, New Life wins big on Tuesday


East Ridge 93, Park 69

It was a crosstown rivalry game on Tuesday and East Ridge showed its dominance in the second win of the season against Park with a 93-69 final score.

East Ridge had strong performances by a handful of players. Kendall Brown led the Raptors with 22 points, while Ben Carlson scored 21 points. Courtney Brown Jr. ended the night with 18 points and Zach Zebrowski finished the night with 14 points.

Park also had a few players score in double digits. Charlie Gorres led the Wolfpack with 19 points, while Domenik Block and Jeremiah Smith each scored 17 and 12 points respectively.

The Raptors will continue their winning streak on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. as East Ridge hosts Forest Lake.

The Wolfpack will continue their regular season on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:15 p.m. as Park travels to White Bear Lake.

New Life Academy 72, Mounds Park Academy 45

It was a close first half as New Life Academy led 35-28 over Mounds Park Academy, but a dominant second half allowed the Eagles to earn the 72-45 win.

Michael Reader led the Eagles with 24 points, while Konner Ware scored in double digits with 14 points.

New Life will stay at home again as the Eagles host Heritage Christian on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.

Mounds View 66, Woodbury 62

It was a back-and-forth game all night on Tuesday, but Mounds View ended up on top with a 66-62 win over Woodbury.

McK Robertson led the Royals with 26 points. Bradley Cimperman and Mac Lockner both scored in double digits with 14 and 13 points respectively.

The Royals will travel to Cretin-Derham Hall on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
