Boys Lacrosse: East Ridge wins crosstown rivalry game, Woodbury loses close game

Saturday

Woodbury 12, Roseville 2

The Royals led 5-1 after the first half on Thursday and Woodbury took that lead to the end with a 12-2 win over Roseville.

Zach Bernstein led the Royals with three goals and Jack Velte and Nate Reetz each scored twice. Conor Hooley, Gavin Olson, Colin Olson, Jac Triemert and Jonah Kopinski all scored one goal in Saturday's game.

Garet Long started the game at the goalie position and saved nine shots. Grant Eilertson came in for the last eight minutes and earned three saves.

Thursday

Stillwater 13, East Ridge 6

It was a tough, conference game between Stillwater and East Ridge, but the Ponies came out with the 13-6 victory on Thursday.

Stillwater went up 3-0 in the first quarter and scored seven more in the second. The Ponies led 10-2 at the half and Stillwater rode that lead to the end.

Isaac Edwards and Zach Beaubien led the Raptors with two goals each, and Jack Mohler and Tyler Johnson each scored one goal in the game. Thomas Miles had a strong game with 15 saves for East Ridge.

Tuesday

White Bear Lake 7, Woodbury 6

It was a close game between White Bear Lake and Woodbury, but the Bears came out with the 7-6 win over the Royals on Tuesday night.

Jonah Kopinski led the Royals with two goals, while four more players each scored a goal. Garet Long had nine saves in the game.

Along with the goals, Zach Bernstein recorded two assists along with Nate Reetz earning an assist as well.

The Royals will have a few days off before heading to Roseville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Monday

East Ridge 8, Park 3

At the half, East Ridge led 2-1 over Park in a close game. It was still tight after three quarters when the Raptors led 4-2.

In the fourth quarter, East Ridge widened its lead with four goals to give the Raptors an 8-3 win over the Wolfpack in a crosstown rivalry game.

The Raptors scored in the first quarter from the help of Ben Marburger. Jack Mohler extended the lead in the second quarter with a goal, but Park came back to score one before the half.

In the third quarter, Marburger and Tyler Johnson each scored a goal and the Wolfpack ended the quarter with a goal of their own.

The fourth quarter was a momentum shift as Noah Markus and Mohler each scored a goal and Isaac Edwards scored two to give East Ridge the lead they needed to end the game on top.

Thomas Miles had 11 saves in the game against the Wolfpack.
