Now that seniors have said goodbye and the rest of the schools will be closing up shop on Friday, several administrators decided their schools should to celebrate the start of summer with one of the most usual of summertime activities – a picnic.

Woodbury and East Ridge high schools, as well as Red Rock Elementary, all hosted picnics last week.

At Red Rock, families came out to the school on May 27 for its Read and Feed event, which invited families to browse through the school’s book fair before enjoying a picnic on the lawn.

That same day, Woodbury High School seniors congregated at Ojibway Park for the annual senior picnic, which included sandwiches from Milio’s.

Then on May 28, East Ridge High School seniors celebrated their senior picnic at the school, which featured burgers and various activities.
