Man pleads guilty to receiving stolen car

Jesse Jacob Anderson of St. Croix Falls, Wis., pleaded guilty to felony receiving stolen property.

He appeared at a plea hearing July 23 in Washington County District and was released on his recognizance. His sentencing is scheduled for November.

According to the complaint:

On July 13, Woodbury Public Safety was dispatched to Joey’s Pizza in the 1800 block of Weir Drive for a report of an abandoned vehicle.

A man parked a black 2001 Toyota Camry in the business’ parking lot and walked away, leaving the windows open and the keys inside. The car did not have license plates.

Police confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The owner was notified and then reported some clothes were missing from the vehicle.

Anderson, 40, was located walking nearby, and two witnesses positively identified him. He was wearing the missing clothes.
