Woman dead after being pulled from Woodbury pool Saturday

A 21-year-old woman has died after she was pulled from a Woodbury community pool Saturday morning.

Woodbury police arrived at the Carver Lake Townhomes pool at 10:16 a.m. and observed that the woman was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Officers performed CPR and then turned the patient over to Woodbury EMS upon their arrival. After EMS was able to regain a pulse, she was transported to Regions Hospital.

Police learned Monday that the woman had died and are now awaiting information from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner, Commander John Altman said Tuesday morning.

Because the incident involved water, Woodbury detectives are working with the Washington County Sheriff's Office to investigate the death, Altman said.
