Woodbury man dies after Isanti County collision

A Woodbury man died Monday, July 23, after the vehicle he was driving collided with a dump truck north of the Twin Cities , the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office said.

Alexander Hoss, 29, was driving north on Flamingo Street at 1:10 p.m. when he pulled out in front of the dump truck traveling east on County Road 10, also known as 285th Ave NW.

The collision split the car into two pieces, the sheriff’s office said. Hoss, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured and a name has not been released.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash.
