Nine Woodbury Scouts receive Eagle rank

Nine Scouts were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor ceremony Monday, June 3, at Woodbury Baptist Church.

The nine Eagle Scouts are:

• Max Barnaby of Woodbury, who graduated from Math and Science Academy and plans to attend Minnesota State University-Moorhead

• Sean Bearth of Maplewood, who graduated from Tartan High School and plans to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis

• Kaleb Bloomquist of Woodbury, who will be a senior at East Ridge High School

• Max Buchholz of Woodbury, who graduated from Woodbury High School and plans to attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth

• Adam Hilpisch of Woodbury, who graduated from East Ridge High School and plans to attend Century College

• Adrian Marin of Woodbury, who graduated from East Ridge High School and plans to attend Century College

• Tim Nelson of Woodbury, who graduated from Woodbury High School and plans to attend St. Thomas University

• Josh Shippee of Woodbury, who will be a senior at Woodbury High School

• Ethan Volgren of Cottage Grove, who graduated from Association Free Lutheran Bible School

Also pictured are Eagle Scout Tim Ashrafi, recognized at a previous Court of Honor, and Joe Hinzman, an Eagle Scout who served as the master of ceremonies. Ashrafi is from Woodbury, graduated from Woodbury High School and plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Hinzman is from Maplewood, graduated from Tartan High School and plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Hannah Black

Hannah Black is a reporter and photographer for the Woodbury Bulletin. She is a proud graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism. Outside of reporting, she enjoys running, going to museums and trying new coffee shops. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her dog, Wendell.
