Woodbury girl named this year's Miss Minnesota Princess

Lauren Lee Callahan, 7, of Woodbury, was named the 2018 National American Miss Minnesota Princess July 14 at the state pageant.

Lauren will attend the national pageant during Thanksgiving week at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. She will compete for the title of Miss National Princess, as well as cash and other prizes.

Lauren also took first place in the actress contest, the talent contest and the casual wear contest, her mother Erin said.

Lauren founded her own organization, Fairy Tales for Wagging Tails, and mainly works with Coco's Heart Dog Rescue in Hudson to help rescue animals.

Her favorite activities include reading chapter books, competitive dance, providing support to rescue animals, singing and playing the piano. Her sponsors for the state pageant were Woodbury Dance Center, Confidence and Poise Pageant Coaching, Carrie Pyrz Photography and 2gether Productions.
