City of Woodbury: Notice of Public Hearing 03/27/19 2019 AAP

Tuesday, March 12, 2019 - 6:09pm

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing shall be held to gather citizen input regarding the proposed 2019 Annual Action Plan (AAP) which will have a program year of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 (PY19).
WHEREAS, the City of Woodbury is a recipient of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) dollars and the City is required to adopt an AAP identifying the policies, procedures and priorities that will govern the specific use of the funds. Also within the AAP are sections regarding how the City intends to affirmatively further fair housing and how the recently completed regional analysis of impediments to fair housing will shape Woodbury's use of federal funds and housing policy decisions.
WHEREAS, the AAP is the planning document that establishes how these CDBG and HOME dollars are to be invested by the City. The City anticipates receiving PY19 grant awards of $205,884 in CDBG and $70,488 in HOME. Additional principal and interest repayments from previously issued loans will provide additional CDBG and HOME revenue known as program income that will be invested in community development projects in the City. Specific amounts and details will be available within the text of the AAP and will be the subject of a March 27, 2019 public hearing. These amounts represent approximations given the flux in the federal budget process and remain estimates subject to final confirmation from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
NOTICE IS GIVEN that a public hearing shall be held on the topic on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Woodbury City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road. Any questions regarding the AAP process may be directed to Karl Batalden, Community Development Coordinator, via or (651) 414-3438.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a 30-day public comment period on the draft 2019 AAP will commence on March 28, 2019.
All interested parties will be heard.
Dated this 13th day of March, 2019.

Dwight W. Picha
Community Development Director
