Renewal by Andersen keeps up expansion trend
COTTAGE GROVE — Two years after an expansion that nearly doubled the Renewal by Andersen campus, the business is expanding again to keep up with its rapid growth.
The company purchased 9.2 acres to the west of its current site — just south of its business park neighbor LeafLine Labs — to enlarge the parking area.
Renewal by Andersen spokesman Adam May said though the lot is only slated for increased parking right now, it could house more expansion of the business in the future.
The parking lot will help relieve congestion by adding room for 40 to 50 more trailers, Economic Development Director Christine Costello said at a recent Economic Development Authority meeting.
In addition to growing in size, the Cottage Grove site is still augmenting its workforce.
When the campus grew in June 2016, the company announced a plan to add 200 employees over the next five years. Two years later the company is still hiring at the Cottage Grove site as demand for the workforce continues to grow.
According to city statistics last updated in October, Renewal by Andersen is the third largest employer in the city, below only 3M and the school district, with over 700 employees.
