A nail-biting game of Deal Or No Deal took place at Liberty Ridge Elementary School Friday afternoon.
All students gathered in the gym to watch fourth grade teacher Pat Hook face “Howie Mandel” (the school nurse), “the Banker” and 25 briefcase-carrying fourth graders.
It was the school’s special send-off for Hook, who was due to fly to the Philippines Sunday to appear on the real Deal Or No Deal TV show for NBC.

Bailey Elementary School in Woodbury held its first ever Culture Fest on March 27.
A traditional Hmong dance, native American grass dance, a kangaroo hop and Irish dance all featured in a special assembly performed by the students.
