ST. PAUL -- President Barack Obama will visit St. Paul Wednesday, not Minneapolis like the White House earlier announced. Obama plans to announce "a new competition encouraging investments to create jobs and restore infrastructure as part of the President’s Year of Action," a Sunday White House announcement said. The president will discuss transportation and transit issues, a source confirmed Saturday. The event is to begin in downtown St. Paul's Union Depot at 2 p.m. The public may get a limited number of tickets that will be handed out beginning Monday at 10 a.m.
