The District 833 School Board gave the nod to fees for public use of new fieldhouses at Park and Woodbury high schools, but put off setting them for the next school year. The board will take final action at its meeting tomorrow night.
Attempts by School District 833 to change an agreement with a developer and the Stillwater School District over boundary changes recently fell through. District 833 board members voted for the original plan. Board members Carrie Olson and Jim Gelbmann said when the first plan was presented that there might be a better plan and told district officials to suggest alternatives to the Stillwater district. Many Washington County residents will not ever see a courtroom unless they are called for jury duty. But if they do, they will find overcrowded facilities where conferences with attorneys are held in crowded hallways. County officials have been concerned about limited court space since 1988. Remodeling was completed in 1997 at a cost of $4.5 million.
