She joined RiverTown Multimedia in October 2013 as a news reporter for the New Richmond News, before being appointed editor of the Pierce County Herald in Febraury 2015. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Spanish and French in 2001. She completed a minor in journalism in 2004.

She dove into the Pierce County sports scene with both feet and from her writing, you can tell she loves what she does. Pierce County Herald/RiverTown Multimedia sports and education reporter Katie Davidson began her new role with the company in September, after reporter Jalen Knuteson took a job closer to his hometown in southern Wisconsin. You may have seen her on the sidelines of Pierce County games, and she's already putting her stamp on telling the stories of local athletes.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) branches from Pierce and St. Croix counties and Washington County (Minn.) invite the public to a summer picnic 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 at Prospect Park (511 Wisconsin St., Hudson). NAMI is a grassroots organization which strives to improve the quality of life for people whose lives are affected by mental illness. Its purpose is to provide support, to educate and to empower individuals and families, to promote public understanding of mental illness in order to combat stigma, and to advocate at all levels of government.
The long-awaited St. Croix Crossing bridge connecting Oak Park Heights, Minn., and the town of St. Joseph, Wis., opened to traffic at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2. HUDSON -- A Menomonie man suffered life threatening injuries after a semi-tractor pinned his vehicle against a cement barrier on Interstate 94 in Hudson Saturday, May 20. The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the crash around 1 p.m. near mile mark 1 in St. Croix County.
TOWN OF CLIFTON -- A car crash late Wednesday in the town of Clifton sent two women to the hospital. According to reports, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle crash at 9:16 p.m. near State Highway 29 and County Road F.
The year was 1976 and Chris Falteisek was in sixth grade at St. Joseph Parish School in Prescott, Wis. He had been watching "Roots" on TV, and his teacher gave an extra credit option of researching family history. The rest is of course, history. The Prescott native is not only the minister of worship and music director at Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury, but a substitute accompanist, photographer, composer, recording artist, concert performer, professional genealogist and researcher.
PRESCOTT -- Borner Farm Project’s Friday pizza nights are a hit with customers, but apparently not so much with the farm’s neighbors. A working farm in the heart of Prescott (1266 Walnut St.) that specializes in growing organic produce, sold onsite or through a CSA, Borner staff take orders for wood-fired pizzas using homegrown ingredients 5-8 p.m. every other Friday May through October. People are invited to relax on the grounds, using their own picnicware and chairs.
