Boys Tennis: East Ridge finishes regular season 16-4

The East Ridge Raptors boys tennis team had its last regular season match on Tuesday against the Harding Knights. The Raptors came out with the 5-2 victory to end the regular season with a 16-4 record.

The singles players for East Ridge had a strong outing with a complete sweep against the Knights. Every singles match ended in two straight sets, except for one finishing in the third set.

The Raptors were led by their No. 1 and No. 2 singles players with dominating performances against Harding. Elias Ramirez, the No. 1 player, completed his match with a 6-3, 6-1 win, while Caleb Fridinger, the No. 2 player, didn't allow his opponent to win a single game with a 6-0, 6-0 finish.

East Ridge will have Wednesday off before the Raptors start the 3AA sectionals tournament. The team had a first round bye since they were the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

The East Ridge Raptors will take on South Saint Paul High School on Thursday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. in the East Ridge High School tennis courts.

No. 3: Filip Belik / Eric Duliere (East Ridge) defeats Jerusalem Thao / Douaneng Lor (Harding) 6-3, 7-6
