The Lake Elmo Lions Club annual ice-fishing contest will be held Sunday, Feb. 7 from 1 - 3 p.m. on Lake Jane in Lake Elmo.

Tickets are available for $4 at most Lake Elmo businesses prior to the contest. Admission is $5 the day of the event.

A ticket will get individuals on the ice and a chance to win "a prize a minute," as well as the grand prize drawing of $1,000 cash. Cash prizes will also be given for the three largest fish caught during contest hours.

Lake Elmo Lions Club president Rusty Zignego encourages families of all ages to spend a day of fun together while raising funds for local programs.

For over 50 years volunteers of the Lake Elmo Lions Club have been involved in a variety of projects important to the needs of the Lake Elmo community.

Club meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at Gorman's Restaurant, 11011 Stillwater Boulevard North, Lake Elmo. Interested adults are invited to attend.
