Woodbury cheer stunt clinc runs April 7-9

The Woodbury High School cheerleaders will be hosting a stunt clinic for anyone in grades 5-10 who are interested in cheer. The clinic will take place at Woodbury High School from April 7-9. The cost is $37, which includes a T-shirt and all three clinic days. Participants will learn how to safely execute cheer stunts, jumping and performance. Tryouts will start the following week. Football University Twin Cities camp at East Ridge June 27

Football University’s Twin Cities football camp will take place June 27-29 at East Ridge High School in Woodbury. Football University is an invitation-only, one-of-a-kind football training experience focusing on developing and enhancing the playmaking ability and skill of elite-level athletes in 6th to 11th grade. Woodbury High School spring sports online registration now open

Woodbury High School spring sports registration is now open. Woodbury has switched to an online sports registration system. To register for Minnesota State High School League spring sports, please go to the Woodbury High School website and click on the link ‘Activities Website’. On this page click on the link “2014 Woodbury Spring Sports Registration” for instructions regarding how to log in. Athletes should have a sports physical on file, which will not expire before June, 14, 2014, at Woodbury High School before registering. The sports physical is good for three years from the exam date.

Woodbury United lacrosse registration

Woodbury United lacrosse registration is now open for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The season begins in mid-March and runs into May. Players need a lacrosse stick, goggles, cleats and a mouth guard to play. No experience is needed. For more information or to register go to

2014 East Ridge High School spring sports registration

East Ridge High School’s spring sports online registration opened on Friday, Feb. 14. Athletes interested in joining a Minnesota State High School League spring sport at East Ridge can go to the East Ridge website to register. On the ERHS home page under ‘Hot Topics’, click on the ‘2014 Spring Sports Registration’ link for instructions and requirements for registration. After reading the instructions, click on the link to register. Please be sure to register by the deadline date which is listed for each sport on the instruction page. Please note that athletes must have a Sports Qualifying Physical Examination form completed by a physician on file at East Ridge High School at the time of registration. Questions about pre-season meetings, captain’s practices, equipment, booster clubs, etc., should be directed to the head coach.

Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride registration open now

The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride will be returning to Washington County on Sunday, April 27, following a record-breaking year in 2013. Rider registration is open now at A $10 discount for Early Bird registration is available through Feb. 28. The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride is open to riders of all ages and abilities. Routes have been designed in roughly 15, 30, 60 and 100-mile increments to provide options for all cyclists. The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride is the longest running organized bicycle ride in Minnesota and runs through the scenic St. Croix River Valley. Cost is $30 for Early Bird registration, $40 from March 1 to April 14 and $15 for youths 18 and under. Teams of eight or more earn a $5 discount per rider. The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride has hosted over 100,000 cyclists in their 47-year history.
