East Ridge girls hockey: Raptors beat Mounds View 3-1

Brooklyn Pierre and Katherine Scheibner each scored last week for East Ridge in a 2-0 victory over Suburban East Conference foe Forest Lake at Bielenberg Arena in Woodbury.

Pierre scored 1 minute, 5 seconds into the Jan. 21game and Scheibner added a goal with 39 seconds to play.

The Raptors (14-7-1; 8-6-1 SEC) outshot the Rangers 26-13 for the game, including 12-3 in the first period.

Erin Cheatham made 13 saves for the shutout victory over the Rangers (7-13-2; 5-10 SEC).

East Ridge made it back-to-back wins and completed a season sweep of White Bear Lake on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory at Bielenberg Arena.

Cassie Goff, Kayla Bender and Jessie Andersen all scored for the Raptors, who led 3-0 before the Bears got on the board.

East Ridge held White Bear Lake (9-10-3; 4-8-3 SEC) to 14 shots on goal while tallying 31 shots on goal.

Cheatham made 13 saves in the win.

To cap the week, Scheibner, Andersen and Jaedyn Walz each scored for East Ridge Saturday in a big 3-1 victory over Mounds View (12-8-3; 11-3-1 SEC) in Mounds View.

Scheibner and Andersen put the Raptors up 2-0 in the first period with Andersen scoring with 39 seconds left in the first period.

Walz added a goal with two seconds left in the game.

East Ridge finished with 24 shots on goal.

Cheatham made 21 saves for the victory.

Next, the Raptors face Hastings (11-10-1; 7-7-1 SEC) on Friday in Hastings.
