New Life baseball: Two big wins open section play for Eagles

The Eagles continued to soar through competition after capturing their first Minnesota Christian Athletic Association conference title in a decade.

Following that accomplishment, New Life drew the No. 2 seed in the Section 4A tournament and ran off two straight wins.

The Eagles opened section play with a 25-0 win May 21 over Minnesota Transitions Charter School.

On Friday, May 23, the Eagles beat Mayer Lutheran High School 11-4.

New Life advanced to the third round, where the Eagles faced West Lutheran High School on Tuesday after the Bulletin went to press. A win over West Lutheran would catapult the Eagles to the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 31, where they would face either No. 1-seeded St. Agnes or unseeded Heritage Christian Academy.
