NLA girls basketall: Eagles split two game

New Life Academy was far too much for rival Bethany Academy last week, but the Eagles followed up that victory with a loss to West Lutheran.

The Eagles started strong with a 20-12 first half against Bethany on Tuesday, Jan. 10, and then pulled away with a 40-7 second half to finish with a 60-19 victory. The Eagles were led by Emily Bolduan's 18 points. Taylor Paulson added 9 points and 6 rebounds.

Three days later, New Life found itself trailing West Lutheran 46-20 after the first half. The Eagles slowed West Lutheran in the second half, but it wasn't enough as New Life fell 63-36. Paulson led the Eagles scoring with 12 points.

The Eagles (3-9) took on Heritage Christian on Thursday, Jan. 19 at New Life Academy in Woodbury.
