The Woodbury boys and girls soccer teams traveled to Park for their lone matchup of the season with their respective Wolfpack rivals on Wednesday night, bringing home a tie and a shutout win to show for their efforts.

WHS Girls

Two first half goals didn't fully speak for an utterly dominant effort on the part of the Woodbury girls squad as they controlled their southern neighbors from start to finish, all while increasing their unbeaten string to 31 games.

Junior classmates Aly DuVal and Caitlin Graboski scored for the visitors, providing all the offense WHS would need against the Wolfpack, who dropped their first game of the season and are now 7-1-1 this autumn.

No. 1 ranked Woodbury, now 8-0-1 on the year, have not lost a game since the semifinals of the 2007 Class AA State Tournament. Having already played six ranked teams this season, they will take on their seventh on Saturday as eighth-ranked Bloomington Jefferson comes to Royals Stadium for a 1 p.m. start.

WHS Boys

It was the second consecutive scoreless tie in Suburban East Conference play for the No. 2-ranked WHS boys squad, who had nothing to show for their 90 minutes of spirited play against the 'Pack.

Woodbury, still unbeaten on the season, is now 1-0-2 in SEC play after tying Stillwater at home last week. The Royals' single conference victory came against Cretin in the league opener on Sept. 3.

WHS is off until next Monday when they host Minneapolis Southwest in a non-conference tilt at Royals Stadium at 7 p.m.
