Boys' Hockey: Raptors lose three close games

East Ridge lost three games by two goals or fewer in a busy week on the schedule.

The Raptors were able to keep the shot totals nearly even with Suburban East Conference opponent Mounds View in a 2-1 loss at home Saturday. Carter VanDenEinde scored early in the second period to give the Raptors a 1-0 lead. But Mounds View’s Cameron Lemay and Vann Hartigan answered with goals in the second period as the Mustangs held on to win 2-1.

East Ridge led the game in shots 22-20.

East Ridge also lost home games 2-0 to Rosemount, Jan. 10, and 4-2 against Bloomington Jefferson, Thursday. Justin Hagen scored twice in the 4-2 loss to the Jaguars.
