LETTER: Kriesel will work hard to build consensus

As Washington County commissioner, I have worked hard on behalf of the citizens and communities of District 3 and have been a strong voice for fiscal discipline. I am seeking re-election because I want to continue to fight to make sure your hard-earned tax dollars are well spent.

Washington County has the second-lowest tax rate in the metro area. I will work to continue to keep the tax burden low on families and businesses, while maintaining the quality of life and services we have come to expect living in the county.

I have forged positive relationships with local, state, and federal leaders, gaining support for the St. Croix River crossing and funding for the popular Brown's Creek State Trail. I also built consensus to purchase the Aiple property preserving a half-mile of pristine river frontage that will be turned into a public park.

My district covers a large area of Washington County and the people who live and work here have a diverse set of interests and concerns. It has been my honor to serve you and I look forward to building on the relationships I've developed.

I have received overwhelming support and endorsements from the citizens, community leaders, and legislators. It's been such a privilege to serve the residents of Washington County. Working together we can meet the challenges ahead and continue to make Washington County one of the best places to live and work in all of Minnesota.

I appreciate public feedback and encourage residents to contact me with any comments or questions. I can be reached at 651-278-6169 or via email at gary@garykriesel.com. For more information, visit my website garykriesel.com and follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/commissionerkriesel.
