One injured, another apprehended in Woodbury weekend shooting

Woodbury police are investigating a shooting that caused an injury Sunday evening.

One person is in police custody and a victim is in the hospital in stable condition.

Police responded to a shooting report on the 700 block of Lake Ridge Drive around 6:20 p.m. March 4, according to a Woodbury Police Facebook post.

Officers located an injured man at the scene. First responders provided care and transported the man to the hospital.

Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew one another.

The incident is believed to have involved four to six people, all of whom know each other.

The shooting, the post said, was not a random incident.

Witnesses reported seeing a gray or silver sedan and a dark SUV speed out of the area following the shooting.

Woodbury Police and the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension are investigating the incident.

The post advises there is no concern for public safety is the Lake Ridge Drive related to the shooting.
