LETTER: Soccer gear goes to Haiti

My name is Ryan Jeo and I am a Boy Scout in Troop No. 9071 in Woodbury.

I am currently working on my Eagle Scout rank. For this I must do a service project.

My project is to collect usable soccer gear for a mission school called Mission Starfish Haiti. I would like to collect such things as cleats, jerseys, shorts, soccer balls, shin guards, et cetera. for both girls and boys of all ages.

To do this I would like to ask for the support of the community.

The collection dates are 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 8, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, and 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at the Blue fields pavilion near the main fieldhouse where there will be volunteers to accept the gear.

If you cannot make it during these times or  have any questions or would like to help, please contact me at rcjeagle@gmail.com or call me at 651-730-7130 and I  will arrange for a volunteer to pick up the gear.

I will be offering the pick up service until the end of the first week in June.
