Afton's Epic Pass has options

As bulldozers, backhoes and jackhammers continue their raucous symphony at Afton Alps to the tune of $10 million in significant improvements, Vail Resorts is offering Minnesota skiers and riders unlimited access this winter to Afton Alps along with the opportunity to ski and ride 17 other iconic resorts in three countries on one season pass: the Epic Pass. The most popular season pass in the snow sports industry is only guaranteed at the price of $689 through Sept. 2.

"This winter, Minnesota skiers and riders will experience a completely transformed Afton Alps from a significantly expanded snowmaking system to make snow twice as fast and a new guest services facility to an innovative new terrain park and terrain park village," said Kirsten Lynch, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts in a release. "They can enjoy these and many other new improvements at Afton Alps all winter long and ski or ride 17 other iconic resorts in Colorado, Utah, Tahoe, Switzerland and Austria on the Epic Pass."

Vail Resorts' season passes offer guests the flexibility to choose which pass is right for them based on how much and where they plan to ski and ride. A guide on can help Minnesota skiers and snowboarders choose the best season pass options for them, based on how much they plan to ski and ride locally and out West. All passes are available for purchase through the website as well.
