Rep. Kelly Fenton, R-Woodbury was appointed vice chairwoman of the Minnesota House of Representatives Commerce & Regulatory Reform Committee for the 2017-18 session.
Fenton will also serve on the Government Operations and Elections Policy, State Government Finance, and Rules and Legislative Administration.
"In addition to advocating for meaningful middle-class tax relief and working to fix our state's health care cost crisis, serving on these committees will allow me to advocate for policies that make Minnesota state government more efficient, effective and accountable to the people it serves," Fenton said. "I look forward to getting back to work in January and welcome input and ideas from people in Woodbury about what they would like to see accomplished in the upcoming session. My door is always open to the people and priorities of our community."
Fenton, who was also named assistant majority leader, will serve her second term representing House District 53B.
The legislative session is set to begin Jan. 3.
