Washington County to survey residents in '13
Washington County will partner with a trio of fellow Minnesota counties to survey its residents next year after the County Board approved an agreement with a research firm last week.
Colorado-based National Research Center, Inc., (NRC) will conduct resident surveys in spring 2013 to gather information on their views of county services for Washington, Dakota, Olmsted Minnesota and St. Louis counties under an agreement county commissioners OK'd Dec. 6.
Grant dollars the county received for its participation in a state program will fund the survey, with costs not to exceed $25,000, according to the agreement.
NRC is the same firm that conducted Washington County's 2006 and 2008 residential surveys.
County officials say partnering with other counties for the 2013 survey will result in cost savings and allow for better comparison and benchmarking of resident responses.
