Half-century bookmark: Library marks 50-year anniversary

Washington County Library celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Dec. 20 Washington County Board meeting, where the board approved a resolution recognizing the anniversary. Library Director Keith Ryskoski noted that Dec. 20 was the exact date the system was founded in 1966. William Loeffler is a playwright and journalist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He worked 15 years writing features for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He has also written travel stories based on his trips to all seven continents. He and his wife, Michelle, ran the Boston Marathon in 2009.
