Dig it: City trails to be affected by pipeline maintenance

Woodbury officials announced Tuesday that two areas of the city are being dug up as part of standard pipeline maintenance.

Five dig sites at Woodlane Hills Park and one site north of a Courtly Road parking lot near Kings Terrace are being dug up beginning Tuesday, Feb. 18, by Koch Pipeline. The digging will begin near Bailey Road and work its way north toward Kings Terrace, according to a news release.

The release requests residents to stay off trails in the affected areas during construction, which should last about three days at each location -- a total of approximately 18 days -- according to the city. Residents will see "trail closed" signs and safety fences around the dig locations.

According to the release, pavement restoration of trails impacted by the digging may not occur until spring. Affected sections of those trails will be covered with gravel through winter, the release states.

A map of the digging locations is available here.
