Damage claims filed after water main breaks

The city of Woodbury and homeowners continued to clean up after several water main breaks that took place Nov. 17, displaced more than 30 people and left numerous others with water damage.

City officials said 77 damage claims were filed last week and they expect the number to climb as more homeowners report issues.

Woodbury Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens encouraged all Woodbury residents to check their yards, water heaters and utility rooms for leaks and report any signs of damage to the city.

Claims can be filed with the city’s insurance company by calling the finance department at 651-714-3502.
