House members host pollinator policy forum

Minnesota DFLers State Rep. Leon Lillie of North St. Paul, Rep. Peter Fischer of Maplewood, Rep. JoAnn Ward of Woodbury, and Sen. Chuck Wiger of Maplewood are hosting a pollinator policy forum which will be moderated by Rep. Rick Hansen, DFL-South St. Paul.

The forum will give a policy overview of state regulations that influence pollinators and threats to the pollinator population.
The event will include speakers from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Board of water and Soil Resources, Minnesota Zoo, University of Minnesota, Pollinate Minnesota, Pesticide Action Network, Maplewood Nature Center, and local beekeepers.
It is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Maplewood Community Center, 2100 White Bear Ave.

The event is free and open to the public.
