Bailey Elementary kindergarten graduates dream big

Bailey Elementary held its kindergarten graduation Friday, May 31, at the school.

High school seniors weren't the only ones celebrating a milestone last week.

Bailey Elementary kindergarteners celebrated graduations of their own May 31 at the school.

The graduation ceremony included graduation-themed songs performed for parents.

"The end of the year is always bittersweet," Bailey kindergarten teacher Megan Blake said. "I am excited for 'my kids' to move onto first grade, however I'm sad too.

"I am always genuinely sad to say goodbye to them on the last day of school, but they are ready to move on."

Blake's students also received diplomas following the graduation ceremony.

"They know what they need to know and they have matured greatly over the course of the school year," Blake said. "I just hope they keep in touch and invite me to their 'real' graduation parties in 2025."

The Woodbury Bulletin asked Blake's kindergarten students what they want to be when they grow up:

Alexander: A fireman.

Lauryn: I want to be a professional soccer player. I like that you get to score goals.

Zachary: A scientist. I like finding stuff out.

Brendan: I want to be a hockey player. I like playing hockey and I like to watch hockey. It's fun to play hockey and meet new friends.

Ori: I want to be a princess at Disney World because I like dresses . Aurora is my favorite princess because she's pink and pink is my favorite color.

Kamden: I want be a soccer player because I like sports.

Macy: A dance teacher. I love to do dance like "Swan Lake." It's fun.

Elise: I want to be a professional soccer player and I want to be a princess.

Kaelin: A paleontologist. I like dinosaur bones and I want to look for bones. My favorite dinosaur is a T-Rex.

Ava: It's a doctor or maybe a designer. My brother read my hand and it said I would be a doctor and I just want to design clothes. I like clothes because you can wear them. I do like black dresses.

Adam: A paleontologist because I want to hunt for dinosaur bones.

Mitchel: A spider rider and a baseball player.

Santana: A hockey player. I like cross checking.

Audrey: A princess.

Bradley: A policeman.

Max: I want to play all the sports except for tennis and volleyball.

Xavier: Batman.

Connor: A soccer player and a hockey player. I'm good at soccer and I like hockey.

Leslie: I want to be a princess because I like them.

Lili: I would like to be a professional soccer player. I learn a lot and I get really strong and my friends are there.
