Stillwater High School variety show will celebrate the 1980s

Elementary, junior high, high school students and adult fans of the 80's get into the act as the Stillwater Area High School Department of Theatre and Drama Club present their annual themed Variety Show May 7, 8 & 9 in the high school auditorium.

Solos, duets, and small groups sing the hits of the Bangles, Cyndi Lauper, Tracy Chapman, U2, Tom Petty, Michael Jackson, Pat Benatar and more. Skits include comical segments from the MacGyver TV series, the Princess Bride and a "Jazzecise" video. Instrumentals include selections from the 80's Broadway hit, "Phantom of the Opera," performed on the harp 80's movie themes performed on the piano and Billy Idol on the accordian. A splendid time is guaranteed for all as the "Nunsensical Nuns" host this tribute to the decade that was..." the 80's." There will even be an audience participation game show, "Pop the Question," with plenty of 80's trivia and a finale of "We Are the World."

Tickets are just $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the high school Activities Office (hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM). All seating for this show is general admission. All proceeds donated to the Stillwater Area High School Drama Club.
