Last week's fashion show is just one of many "firsts" at East Ridge High School with the school opening this fall.

Opening without seniors, homecoming was replaced with "Spirit Week."

Homecoming royalty was replaced with Dale Hoeffel as "spirit girl" and Dylan Eike as "spirit boy" who, with matching outfits in East Ridge colors, were part of the fashion show held in The Loft auditorium.

Participants wore a wide variety of outfits they individually put together. Models also showed what they were wearing with moves that might be seen on Dancing With the Stars or at a rock concert. The audience was delighted by teens blowing air kisses and tumbling somersaults.

Stylists from Belissimo Salon and Day Spa and B & G Hair Company did hair and makeup.

Participants in the show included Kgari Ly, Taylor Sager, Isabella Yang, Pang Yang, Yging Gu, Taylor Ruud, Ashley Overson, Stephanie Luebbe, Shelby Stensgard, Sidney Anderson, Christine Fredin, Ellie Eckman, Bailee Meyer, Beth Wozniak, Maigao Her, Gabby Gillespie, Erika Jensen, Jamiki Joiner, Sarah Nesheim, Aloya Sager, Dylan Eike and Dale Hoeffel, with the show coordinated by Kajsa Jones and Julia Reimann.
