A mysterious murder takes place at WHS

The Woodbury High School Theater department will present the murder mystery play "Book of Days" by Lanford Wilson Thursday, Friday, Saturday, May to 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The production is directed by Jon and Karen Seashore.

When the owner of a small town Missouri cheese plant dies mysteriously in a hunting accident, Ruth, his bookkeeper, suspects murder.

Cast as Joan of Arc in a local production of George Bernard Shaw's St. Joan, Ruth takes on the attributes of her fictional character and launches into a one-woman campaign to see justice done.

The play propels the audience through its events like a page-turning thriller.

Lanford Wilson is an esteemed American playwright who was won the Pulitzer Prize, as well as three Obie Awards and two New York Drama Critics Awards for best play.

General admission tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Tickets are available for purchase one hour before each showtime.
