Upgrades anticipated at Woodbury Middle School in 2017
Much-anticipated additions and renovations at Woodbury Middle School are still in the works at the District 833 cabinet level.
Discussions with the design team were anticipated to "shift into high gear" this month, said Mike Vogel, interim director of facilities and construction management for South Washington County Schools.
"We still need to put pencil to paper," Vogel said prior to the design team meeting.
Julie Nielsen, assistant superintendent, has also been involved in the design team talks. Together, Vogel, Nielsen and the design team are attempting to put together a preliminary floor plan that fits the budget for renovations and additions.
Work on the project is expected to begin in spring 2017, for a 16-month construction season.
More information should be available at the District 833 School Board meeting on Thursday.
