District 833 School Board thanks donors for $305,000

Bolstered by donations for robotics, South Washington County Schools had a good month for accepting gifts.

District 833 received almost $37,000 in March, bringing its total received to $305,000 in 2015-16.

Northern Tier's $10,000 donation to the District 833 robotics teams, Emerson Process Management's $2,000 meant for Park High School robotics, and David Brandmire gave $500 for Woodbury High School robotics.

Lake Middle School parent-teacher association (PTA) put $9,677 in the coffers, and Target gave $9,866.

WHS's tennis booster club raised almost $1,400, and the Cottage Grove Elementary parent-teacher organization (PTO) raised more than $300 for kindergarten puppets.

The District 833 School Board recognized its recent donors at an April 28 meeting.
