Forum highlights seven 833 School Board candidates
The League of Women Voters of Woodbury, Cottage Grove is sponsoring School Board Candidate Forum for individuals running for South Washington County District 833 School Board.
There are seven candidates: Incumbents Ron Kath (Cottage Grove), Joe Slavin (Woodbury) and Michelle Witte (Woodbury), have filed for reelection, along with Molly Lutz (Woodbury), Patricia Driscoll (Cottage Grove), Dean Barton (St. Paul Park), and Andrea Mayer-Bruestle (Woodbury). They are all scheduled to attend the forum.
The School Board Candidate Forum will have a moderator, and some questions will be generated by the League of Women Voters and given to candidates ahead of time. This forum is not a debate. Audience members will be able to write questions down on a piece of paper that will be given to the event coordinators from the League. They will screen the questions to avoid repetition and to make sure they are appropriate before presenting them to the candidates.
The forum will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the South Washington County Schools District Service Center, 7362 E. Point Douglas Road S. in Cottage Grove.
