Two arrested after 'large' Woodbury meth seizure

Two people were arrested in Woodbury following a drug investigation that uncovered a "large amount" of methamphetamines.

According to a preliminary police report, members of the Washington County narcotics unit assisted Ramsey County drug officers who executed a search warrant at 10:48 a.m. June 3 at a storage facility at 881 Weir Drive.

The warrant was for a recreational vehicle belonging to the two suspects and for two storage lockers at the site. The search revealed "a large amount of meth" and packaging material, according to the report.

Officers said the amount of meth seized was "well over 25 grams."

Two people were arrested without incident and jailed at Washington County Adult Detention Center.

The suspects, Jan Werkhoven, 51, Mahtomedi, and Sidney Werkhoven, 50, Woodbury, were both arrested at the scene on suspicion of first-degree drug possession. Jan Werkhoven also was booked on a county warrant for misdemeanor non-support of a spouse or child.
