Bicyclist injured in crash with car

Woodbury police responded Sept. 24 to a report that a car had struck a bicyclist near Interlachen Parkway and Hunters Trail.

According to the police report a 15 year-old male was riding his bike on the bike path on the east side of Interlachen Parkway around 4:15 p.m.

The bicyclist was struck by an oncoming vehicle as the bicyclist entered a pedestrian crosswalk to cross the street. The police report states the bicyclist entered the crosswalk at a high rate of speed. The police reports states the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and was believed to have a possible broken leg. The mother of the bicyclist was contacted and responded to the scene. The bicyclist was transported to Regions Hospital via ambulance, the report stated.

Cow gets loose

Woodbury police responded Sept. 27 to a report of a cow on the loose in the area near Cottage Grove Drive and Dale Road.

A Cottage Grove resident who was driving in the area called to report she saw the cow run into a nearby corn field.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the woman and checked the area. The officer could not find the cow.

Police arrest woman on theft warrant

Woodbury police responded Sept. 24 to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Home Depot in Tamarack Village long after the business had been closed. Police approached the female in the vehicle, performed a background check and discovered she had a warrant for theft in Ramsey County. Police arrested the woman and transported her to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater.
