Woodbury police seeking information about weekend home break-in

Woodbury police are asking for neighbors' help identifying three men suspected in a home break-in over the weekend in the 7000 block of Lydia Circle.

Three suspects entered the home through an unlocked door around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, according to a Woodbury Public Safety Facebook post.

The homeowner called 911.

There was no forced entry, and the suspects fled when they learned the residents were home.

Police searched the area with K-9 units and a State Patrol helicopter but were unable to locate the suspects.

The crime, according to the post, was a "crime of opportunity" carried out by suspects looking for easy access to homes.

The suspects are described as two white men and a black man wearing a red jacket or sweater, according to Woodbury police.

Authorities are asking residents with surveillance footage that might have captured images of the suspects to call Woodbury Public Safety at 651-439-9381.

The department encouraged all residents to lock their doors.
