A Minneapolis man faces criminal charges after the car he was driving struck two Woodbury police cars conducting a traffic stop. Dashboard camera footage captured the Aug. 11 crash on Interstate 94.

Christopher Craig, 30, faces two drunken driving charges and one charge of driving without proof of insurance — all gross misdemeanors — in Washington County District Court.

Minnesota State Troopers responded to the scene and noted that Craig had "glassy eyes" and smelled strongly of alcohol, according to a criminal complaint filed Aug. 15.

The complaint states that Craig blew a 0.22 blood alcohol level — nearly three times the legal limit — and later told troopers that he drank three beers before driving.

No one was injured in the crash, according to a Woodbury Public Safety Facebook post.

Craig is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 2.

Craig's previous convictions include domestic assault and third-degree assault in October 2016 as well as driving without proof of insurance in May 2016 and driving after revocation in August 2016.
