Cottage Grove police arrest woman following high-speed chase, crash
A motorist crashed her car in a southeastern Cottage Grove ditch in the early hours of Sunday, July 30 after allegedly leading police in a vehicle chase with speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour.
Police identified the driver as Jacqueline Mazzitello, 39 of Cottage Grove. She was booked in Washington County jail on pending charges of felony fleeing police in a vehicle, fourth-degree DWI and driving with revoked license.
Cottage Grove police received a call at 3:19 a.m. July 30 of a possible impaired motorist driving westbound on 100th Street from Jamaica Avenue.
Police allegedly pursued the driver, who later crashed the vehicle at 113th Street and Ideal Avenue.
Mazzitello was transported to Regions Hospital for minor injuries before she was booked into jail.
Charges are pending the results of toxicity screenings, police said.
