Man, woman exit store with $165 worth of game controllers

Carson Wayne Bajenske, 22, of St. Paul faces felony charges after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart in Woodbury.

He is due in Washington County District Court on Feb. 24 to answer to one count of possession of shoplifting gear.

According to the complaint:

Bajenske and an accomplice went to the electronics department and selected $165 of PlayStation 3 and Wii controllers, concealed them, and moved to the domestics department. There, Bajenske used a pocketknife to remove Spiderwire from the controller package.

The items were placed in the purse of the woman with him, and the two exited the store via garden center doors.

Loss prevention officers saw them and directed Woodbury police to the scene of the crime.

Bajenske has an open file with Dakota County, consisting of allegations of tampering with a motor vehicle, fleeing a peace officer on foot, theft and receiving stolen property.
