Kidnapper/rapist gets 6-1/2 years for acts against drunk woman
A Stillwater man was sentenced to more than six years in prison after pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct involving an unconscious woman he kidnapped from the side of the road in St. Paul.
The victim, an 18-year-old who had blacked out due to intoxication on July 5, woke up frightened and confused in a Stillwater apartment, next to a guy she didn’t know. Her last recollection of the previous night had been watching fireworks.
For third-degree criminal sexual conduct, Jeremiah Daniel Johnson, 26, was sentenced to 77 months at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud. A stay of execution was granted for his 33-month sentence for kidnapping. He was credited with 135 spent in the Washington County jail. Both convictions are felonies.Johnson told police he “always wanted ... an Asian girl” and “now that I picked one up, I get arrested.”
