Lookout at Johnson Jewelry robbery gets nine years

Erick Larkins served as the lookout during the robbery of a Woodbury jewelry store and earned a felony conviction.

Last month, the 47-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced to nine years, four months in prison and committed to the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.

Larkins, who served 325 days before being sentenced, was sentenced of first-degree aiding and abetting aggravated robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Thomas Jones took a loaded gun into the jewelry store in Seasons Market Shopping Center, near the intersection of Radio Drive and Tamarack Road, before an employee arrived for work, saw a robbery in progress, and flagged a police officer who happened to be in the parking lot.

Larkins fled, while Jones ultimately committed suicide. Another accomplice, Albert "Salt" Jones, aka Anthony Johnson, has a warrant out for his arrest.
